Focal Point: 10 Pictures of Rome

No trip to Italy is complete without a visit to the Italian capital, which has been around for more than 2500 years. Rome is what I call one of the “three giants of Europe” alongside London, and Paris. I say “giants” because you can spend a countless number of days on these city streets and never scratch the surface of their great pasts. The historic sites of Rome are perhaps the best known landmarks in the world, which include: the Colosseum, St. Peter’s Basilica, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon (not pictured), to name a few.

I got my first glimpse of Rome as a six year old when I watched the 1953 Audrey Hepburn movie, Roman Holiday, and have wanted to visit ever since. Just so we get this clear: No I’m not much of a romantic, but as a photographer I saw too many great photo opportunities to resist visiting 🙂
