The Real Alcazar of Seville is a stunning example of both Muslim and Christian architecture and the history of the Spanish state. It was here that Columbus first met Isabella and Ferdinand seeking their support for his expeditions and discovery of the ‘new world’. However, the palace and gardens are best known as the Kingdom of Dorne from the Game of Thrones. What people often forget is that the Alcazar was also one of the sets for the 1962 film, Lawrence of Arabia. It deservedly stands as one of three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Seville.
