So if you are still making plans for you travel last minute, I just noticed that there is a great last minute deal available in Icelandair Business Class from Dublin to Dallas at $1250 RT. Most summer airfares in economy on routes to/from DFW to Europe are going for well over this rate. I know Icelandair doesn’t have a lie flat seat, but they still offer free stopovers in Reykjavik and have a decent onboard product which certainly beats economy. I personally haven’t flown them, but you can take a look at Ben’s review to get an idea of what to expect.
You can search for the flights here using Google Flights and the airfares are available on quite a few departure dates and return dates throughout the year.
Also do remember that Dublin is a great gateway to and from the rest of Europe because of the significant number of low cost flights available on RyanAir, AerLingus, and EasyJet.
I think this is a great deal given the high fuel prices and high airfares which are becoming increasingly prevalent across the board. Dallas doesn’t really see these good fares that often, but I think the arrival of Icelandair is beginning to change that.
