As I said we got bored of the Galleries Lounge so decided to change things up and test out the No. 1 (Priority Pass) Lounge next door. The lounge is available to business passengers of certain airlines and Priority Pass card holders (benefit of AMEX Platinum, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Citi Prestige, and a couple of other premium cards).
We were promptly checked in after presenting our Priority Pass cards. The showers are available for free and was available when I walked in and so I immediately took advantage of that. This lounge also offers spa services and bedrooms to sleep in for a fee of 20 pounds/hour. The problem with the bedrooms is that the lounge is only open from 4:30am – 10:30pm everyday. So there is absolutely no chance of making this your overnight stay at Heathrow.
Anyway back to the walk through of the lounge. The shower rooms were definitely several steps above what the BA lounge has to offer:
The design of the lounge is quite classy and there was various kind of seating including some swinging chairs. I did notice however that there were large parts of the lounge designated as “Reserved.” The lounge also had a pretty large bar upon entering and a “Cinema” room to the right.
The food on offer around this time was fairly limited to some salad and desserts:
Here are the complimentary premium drinks on offer at the lounge:
Bottom Line:
We spent about an hour at this lounge and it definitely felt a step above the BA lounge in tidiness, abundance of power outlets, and showers. There is definitely nothing to complain about here given that it is available to most premium cardholders at Chase, AMEX, and Citibank. Do note that there is no escaping the crowds at Heathrow so you might as well settle down wherever you find a good lounging area instead of lounge hopping to find the best experience. If you do need a shower however, this lounge is the place to go in T3 as far as I know. I’ll have to check out the Cathay lounge next time I’m flying business out of Heathrow T3.
