Review: Chase Sapphire Lounge LaGuardia

The Chase Sapphire Lounge at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) opened its doors on January 16, 2024 and is located in Terminal B, right next to the AMEX Centurion Lounge. It’s a standout feature of the newly transformed LGA, which has become one of the nicest airports in the U.S. The lounge operates daily from 4:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m and spanns over 21,000 square feet across two floors.

I swung by the lounge a couple of weeks ago on Saturday night after a quick trip to the City. The lounge offers comfortable seating, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a selection of food and beverages, including premium options. Access is complimentary for Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders and Priority Pass members. Primary cardmembers of the Chase Sapphire Reserve and the now defunct Ritz Carlton Credit Card can bring up to two guests into the Chase Sapphire Reserve lounge for free. Priority Pass members as a result of having other credit cards get one free entry to the lounge per calendar year.

Once you go through the corridor, there is an elevator which will take you up to the lounge. I was personally quite impressed with the entrance itself with the sliding doors and the logo right at the entryway.

I arrived about an hour before closing and found the staff welcoming and the amenities top-notch, even toward the end of the day. I won’t go into the weeds about the lounge because you guys have probably heard enough about it. Crowding was not an issue on this Saturday night. Let me just say that the lounge is wonderfully designed.

To the right hand side (when you walk in) is a separate quiet room featuring booths, a conference table, and some couches. There is even a small coffee counter with some basic snacks just outside the “quieter” area.

A lot of thought has been put into this lounge no doubt and it even has a fun little room with a vintage record player and an arcade.

As you make your way deeper into the lounge, you’ll find the buffet area and dining space tucked toward the back. Despite the lounge closing in just 45 minutes, the staff was actively refreshing the offerings, and the food remained fully stocked.

The lounge boasts a stunning central bar area, beautifully complemented by lush greenery hanging from the walkways, adding a refreshing and vibrant touch to the overall aesthetic.

There was an impressive variety of vegetarian options already in the buffet as I said earlier, but there was an à la carte menu featuring dishes that could be delivered to your table. Here is only part of the menu. The kids section featured your usual mac and cheese, grilled cheese, and french fries.

If you can’t find a seat downstairs, there is an even more secluded area upstairs, where the Chase Reserve Suites for VIPs are located.

And since the lounge has an open concept, you can even look down at the entire lounge.

Amenities (not pictured):

The lounge includes a wellness area with two Face Haus treatment rooms offering complimentary 30-minute facials, though I didn’t have time to try them during my visit. Restrooms are well designed with granite and marble finishes, featuring standard, nursing, and all-gender facilities on both levels. However, there are no shower suites—a surprising omission given the lounge’s appeal to high-end travelers. After a full day of meetings in the city, the option to freshen up before a flight would be a welcome addition.

Bottom Line:

The Chase Sapphire Lounge at LGA is a stunning addition to the transformed LaGuardia, offering a luxurious retreat with standout amenities like a wellness area, a beautifully designed bar, and thoughtful dining options. The staff truly elevated the experience—they made sure I had time to order before the kitchen closed and seemed genuinely proud of the lounge, adding a welcoming, personal touch. While the lack of shower suites is a downside, the lounge overall delivers on comfort, style, and service, making it a must-visit for cardholders. The lack of natural light and views of the runways and/or city are surprisingly hard to notice. I even forgot about it until I started writing this article.

Food for thought:

With Chase opening lounges in Phoenix, San Diego, and elsewhere, you kind of have to wonder why Chicago doesn’t have a single credit card lounge yet. O’Hare definitely lacks space, but you would think they can repurpose something for a Chase or AMEX or CapitalOne lounge.

I do hope the next time I swing by that I don’t find it overcrowded. What have your experiences been like at the lounge?
