We had a quick overnight at the Hyatt House Denver Airport before our early morning departure back to Texas. The Westin Denver Airport wasn’t open yet back then so this seemed to be the best property near the Denver Airport at the time. The property features free shuttle service to the airport (leaving every 30 minutes or based on reservation at front desk), and the standard Hyatt House complimentary breakfast for all guests.

I booked the a 2 bedroom suite using cash @ ~$170, and the room was more than large enough for the four of us. This was also a relatively new Hyatt House so the rooms and furniture were definitely a bit upscale compared to others.
Hyatt House 2 Bedroom Suite:
The living room was well designed with an open floor plan and a comfortable wrap around sofa. Right next to the sitting area was a decently sized kitchen and dining area:
There were some nice views of the Rockies off in the distance from our bright, naturally lit living room. Unfortunately, I didn’t have very good views of the runway.
One of the rooms featured two queen beds, while the other had just one king bed. This was extremely ideal because my sister and I didn’t have to fight over who gets to sleep in a bed versus the sofa in the living room. I absolutely hate sofa beds. Both rooms had their own attached bathrooms and one of them was insanely large with a shower and double vanity.
One of the other useful features was that both rooms had desks to work from and Wi-Fi at this hotel was generally very fast. I must note however that the power outlets were not conveniently located within close proximity of the beds.
We didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast the following morning because our flight was at 6 am, but from what I heard it is pretty much your standard Hyatt breakfast with a few hot items and the continental options. Shuttle service was on time and the driver was very helpful with our luggage the following morning. The airport is just 8 minutes away from the hotel so staying at an off airport property wasn’t an issue.
Bottom Line:
The Hyatt House Denver Airport is a fine place to stay in when doing an overnight near DEN. The rooms are clean, modern, and well equipped for stays with the family. Above all the shuttle service is efficient and convenient for those early morning trips to Denver Airport. Now that the on airport Westin is open, I would surely prefer to stay there, but if that wasn’t an option this would be my go to hotel. Also, based on the few interactions I had with hotel staff, I felt like service was better than at the St. Regis.
From my experience, I generally find Hyatt Houses to be fresher, more modern, and even better equipped than their Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and Starwood counterparts in the extended stay sector and this property was no different. My personal ranking of the extended stay category goes as follows based on some recent stays I’ve had:
1.) Ascott (I’m not sure it falls in this category given the higher price range, but just thought I would put it in)
2.) Hyatt House (modern, fresh, and well equipped rooms)
3.) Residence Inn by Marriott (the newly renovated ones are extremely nice and comparable to Hyatt House)
4.) Staybridge Suites by IHG
5.) Element by Westin (SPG) (generally, modern but too green)
6.) Homewood Suites by Hilton (always felt a lot of these were a bit dated)
