We have been absolutely been overwhelmed with the response to the launch of our YouTube Channel. Sasidhar and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the compliments, encouraging notes, and of course undying support from readers of this blog. We could not have done anything without you guys.
On today’s tape it’s all about inspiration and going local. Many times we wander off to distant landscapes thinking that spark of inspiration is somewhere else. And we often forget to really look at what stares us in the face regularly. Inspiration can be found in every nook and cranny of the world. For me it is found in the very act of jumping into all the landscapes inside the novels and comic books I’ve read. From the cobblestone streets of Baker Street to the mystic valley of Rivendell, all the way to the bridges of Gotham City, every landscape puts me in one of those stories and let’s me create one of my own. By traveling you begin to see and understand the inspiration for human creativity and ingenuity. It truly brings out the imagination within us. Maybe you like to paint or draw or write. Whatever your particular medium is, you will find that once you travel and meet new people and absorb new cultures, your own creative expression will come out quite organically and thrive. And so we thought it was only appropriate that we create a season based solely on “Inspiration.”
Without further ado, here is the first episode of “The Travel Tapes.”
