Golkonda Fort sits on a 390 foot granite hill, 7 miles outside the centre of Hyderabad, India. The fort dates back to 14th century and was considered impenetrable for almost three centuries before its fall to Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in 1687 at which point it was pillaged and looted.
Owing to the Marriott/SPG hotel category changes I wanted to move up some of the reviews I was doing.
When we arrived in Hyderabad, the hotel driver was already waiting for us in arrivals with a sign board. Our luggage was out in less than 10 minutes, and the driver helped us roll our luggage to the hotel car, which was parked across the street.
After quickly running through the Plaza Premium Lounge, we headed over to the gate for our flight to Hyderabad. Boarding began promptly at 6pm (the flight was a bit delayed due to fog).
